Ethereum Rises Despite Six-Day ETF Exodus, With Holders Deep In The Red - Stocktwits

U.S. Ethereum Spot ETFs Post Continuous Outflows

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs have been experiencing daily net outflows, totaling $139.8 million on Monday, marking six straight days of outflows. According to SoSoValue data, the last inflow was observed on October 23, amounting to approximately $4.35 million.

Ethereum (ETH) showed a 1.8% increase in the last 24 hours, trading at around $2,290. Despite the recent rebound, the sentiment towards ETH among retail investors remains 'bearish', as indicated by Stocktwits.

Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart noted that Ethereum ETF holders were facing significant unrealized losses, estimated at nearly $3.5 billion by the end of October. He further revealed that the average purchase price for Ethereum ETF buyers was around $3,200.

Seyffart's chart illustrates the average price paid by ETF buyers, which peaked in late 2025 after the funds launched in July 2024. However, the token's price has mostly remained below this level, leading to losses for holders over the past year. He characterized recent ETF flows as "not bad but also not fantastic," adding that the trend reversed in October.

Not all analysts share the same perspective. ** Michaƫl van de Poppe** suggested that Ethereum is outperforming Bitcoin (BTC) in the current soft market, stating that "even though the markets are relatively weak, $ETH is outperforming Bitcoin in its latest momentum as the BTC pair is just doing significantly better."
