Ethereum Targets Quantum-Resistant Transition by 2028
Ethereum Foundation said it is aiming to complete its quantum-resistant transition by 2028, a year ahead of the original plan.
Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake expressed his hope to finish both the post-quantum and post-artificial intelligence (AI) transition by December 2028. According to Cointelegraph's report on November 3, Drake made these remarks at Devcon8 in Mumbai, India.
The Ethereum Foundation's official roadmap originally set the target date for the quantum-resistant transition as December 2029. However, Drake's goal would accelerate this timeline by one year.
Drake also stated in August his intention to deploy quantum-resistant technology across Ethereum's three layers by 2028.
