Optimism co-founder and CTO Karl Floersch is listed as a speaker at the Ethereum Institutional Forum in London on Nov. 12, placing an Optimism executive on a program that connects Ethereum's technical roadmap with institutional finance.

The invite-only forum covers post-quantum readiness and Ethereum's roadmap, as well as tokenization, settlement, custody, and collateral. Its speaker roster also includes executives from J.P. Morgan, BlackRock, and Depository Trust & Clearing Corp.

The OP Stack is open-source software for building Ethereum Layer 2 networks. Optimism's October 2026 roster contains 54 mainnet chain entries, including Base. In February, Base said it planned to move away from the OP Stack over the coming months while continuing to work with Optimism through OP Enterprise. The plan did not specify a completion date.

In a separate snapshot at the end of September 2026, OP Stack chains had $22.2 billion in total value secured, $7.5 billion in assets active in DeFi protocols, and $8.2 billion in stablecoin supply.
