Ethereum’s [ETH] staking metrics are indicating a potential bullish shift in investor sentiment. This is despite growing staking participation, as ETH struggles to gain market share.

According to ValidatorQueue’s data, approximately 1.23 million ETH, worth nearly $2.8 billion, was waiting to be staked on the Ethereum mainnet, indicating a substantial entry queue with an estimated waiting period of around 21 days and 16 hours.
Meanwhile, the exit queue, with only 1,682 ETH waiting to be unstaked, has a much shorter estimated waiting period of approximately one day, though withdrawals may take longer due to an additional sweep delay of 7.1 days.
Historical data further supports this trend. Between August and October, the amount of ETH waiting to enter staking declined, while the entry waiting period dropped significantly.
The number of active Ethereum validators also fell from approximately 910,000 in September to nearly 815,000.
However, the broader staking picture remains positive. The total staked ETH climbed to 44.2 million by late October, increasing the proportion of Ethereum’s circulating supply staked to 36.19%.
This suggests a growing commitment to securing the network, even as ETH trades at $2,244.74 (as of press time), with the RSI indicating a bearish trend.
